You give it a Chess.com username; it pulls the last 100 rated games via the public Chess.com API; it computes 40+ metrics across opening, middlegame, and endgame; it classifies you against eight weakness archetypes; it returns a personalized 30-day improvement plan calibrated to your rating band.
What it isn’t
- Not a coach. It can’t watch you over-the-board, read your body language under pressure, or motivate you through a slump.
- Not an opening trainer. We tell you which openings are leaking points; we don’t drill the lines for you (that’s what Chessable is great at).
- Not a tactics platform. We flag tactical blindness as an archetype; we send you to Chess.com puzzles or ChessTempo to fix it.
- Not a rating predictor. Our job is finding what’s slowing you down, not promising +200 in 30 days.
